I'm putting together a force for a narrative event later this year. I've always loved the idea of Astra Militarum forces being supported by the Astartes, so this army list is built around that idea.

The mechanised fast-moving Guard force is loosely based on the "Long Range Desert Group", using the Tallarn regiment. It also needs to be a solid force, but still fluffy, and feel appropriate to the overall theme of mobility.
For example, all the Astra Militarum need to fit into vehicles, so they can move around between missions. (The Astartes obviously fly in from a ship in orbit)

Objectives will be themed around camp sites and supply dumps, as well as doomsday weapons, or VIPs for the Astartes to deal with.

I'd love ideas for optimisation, or better usage of models and points, as well as fluffiness and theme. No fiction is included. I'll do that later once the forces are nailed down.
