Reaper Pro VS Vellejo Game Colour?

As someone always looking to improve his painting, I was reading an article on thinning for advanced techniques on the reaper website. Of course they condoned their own brand paint the entire time, but I was wondering what you all thought of them? Are they better than Vellejo, who IMO seems to be the best paint I've ever used?

RE: Reaper Pro VS Vellejo Game Colour?

Got to go with the Vellejo Games color over all. The Model color is a lot more like the Reaper stuff, its thicker and the pigmemnt is not as finely ground as the game color( but still great paint). I find most people came up using GW colors and want to stay with them when ever possible. So Game color is the way to go. Reaper has a nice thing going on with giving you the 3 color deal so those painters who dont have the immediate concept of the shades and shadows can "paint like a pro" as far as their pallet is concerned.

Borrow a few things from the Model color line like vellejo thinner, glaze medium, their forth coming line of inks and the odd color here and there to extend the range and they are the best I have used in the 23 years of painting I have been doing. I have so many brand of paints ( and complete lines of them , much to my wifes amazement) that I used over the years, and then a year or so ago was given the Vellejo Game color suitcase as a gift and I have pretty much not touched another brand of paint again.

They dont dry out, if you knock the bottel over with out the cap on they dont spill, mixing colors is a snap with the droppers. The worst problem I have run into is every now and then I have to clear a clog in the opening with a stick pin, and that takes a grand total of about 1/2 a second. There is the odd color here and ther that seems to be a bit on the transparent side ( my dark angels green just wont seem to cover) but honestly it a quick fix to use the old GW hex pots.

So go vellejo game color.

I haven't tried Reaper Pro, but Reaper Master series is nice with its color triads. I
picked up some dark flesh last time and I really like the results.
