Aggressors get the Ruinstorm Gauntlets. These are Power Fist-mounted Meltaguns that replace Boltstorm Gauntlets and Fragstorm Grenade Launchers. They are Assault 2, 12", Str 8, AP -4, d6 damage weapons that have the same special rule as the Meltagun. They cost 23 pts.

Inceptors get the Melta Eliminator. These are Assault Multi-Meltas that have shorter range, but the same firepower. They are Assault 1, 18", Str 8, AP -4, d6 damage weapons. You're probably not wrong. But the higher damage output might help make it palatable. The shorter range also hurts too. Maybe variations of the Lascannon? Maybe, as you said, give a new option to the aggressors?
