				<description><![CDATA[ Looking for input on a two detachment Custodes and Guard list. The Guard infantry squads will be for camping backfield objectives and preventing drops while the custodes do all the heavy lifting. 				<description><![CDATA[ Could swap a primaris psyker for an astropath with psychic maelstrom and a laspistol. This saves you 30pts and that power is pretty decent as it can snipers characters and target models that aren't the closest. Astropaths also have no penalty to cast it.<br /> <br /> And is the praetor with the vexilla defensor really worth it? Can't see what he adds to the list <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(325);'>tbh</span> - a 5++ on guard squads is definitely not worth it.<br /> <br /> Have you thought about whos having your relic and warlord trait? The custodes relics are fun, but you also have the guard command point options - grand strategist and kurovs Aquila will greatly boost the amount of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(707);'>CP</span> available. If you do go this route then you can still use the 'open the vaults' stratagem to get the jetbike relic for your biker captain. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ With forgeworld having released their beta rules I've tweaked the list some. Each shield captain will escort a drop team, with the squad of 8 custodes being placed in the teleporter with a stratagem. Most likely will be used as two separate strike teams. The two primaris psykers will help the other two squads of 3 custodes foot slog to where they're needed most or protect the Calidus if the opponent plays aggressively. 				<description><![CDATA[ I'm running my first game with this list today against a chaos demons/thousand sons/alpha legion list. I'm a little concerned not using a psyker with the drop teams but outside pairing with space marines for librarians i'll have to hope they're within 12" for the stratagem. The only other concern I have is not giving the caladius the -1 to hit banner since it will draw a considerable amount of fire until the drop teams are on the board. I plan on trying to keep it more than 48" away and sacrificing the 2+ <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> when I have to]]></description>

After an alpha strike of 30 bloodletters landed a massive <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(2);'>3d6</span> charge of 16 and were able to wrap through the screen squad of guardsmen and place models against the tank, being able to just move it 16" away behind a squad of 3 custodes spearmen and resume firing on 3+ was vital. I do believe the best custodes list will revolve around large bike units, but the tank having a 60" cannon and 16" of movement proved to be a somewhat deciding factor of my game as it gives the custodes some serious ranged punch. The large blob of custodes is an amazing deepstrike for 1CP, even with somewhat poor armor save rolls, being able to wound allocate in such a large squad almost guarantees you do not lose one until you get where they need to be. I will probably be editing the guardsmen some... it was not a pretty game for them]]></description>
