Painting Mid-Brown Skin?

Hi there, I'm painting some barbarian models that are very much inspired by Native American culture. The two skin tones I have experience painting are African skin and Caucasian skin. I'm looking for a more mid tone brown skin as seen here in this reference picture.

Any suggestions on how to achieve this? I'm mostly looking to use reaper or vallejo colors, not a huge fan of gw colors.

I never buy skin tone paints...I play Old West so I have about 34 different shades of brown from Vallejo. I just pick one and roll with it. I have some indians I've painted, but I don't remember the colours I used.

Burnt umber can be a really good base for darker skin tones. Pretty much all human skin tones have some element of red or pink in them so I agree with other posters about using a suitable brown and mixing in red or pink to get the desired effect.
