This is Thomas, son of Luc (my general) Luc's family has been cursed/ blessed with magic, and many of his children have been taken by the Fey Enchantress, Thomas is one of the few not so gifted, and grew up as a Knight. He wields a savage mace as his weapon of choice. The horns that adorn his helmet were torn from a beastlord. They represent the Antlers of the Great Hunt magic item.



These Knights represent the fighting strength of Brent. Many of them are squires of questing knights, or last sons of noble families eager to take any chance to make a name for themselves. They count as Knights of the Realm.



The Knights of Brent are poor indeed, favouring older simpler armour styles and wielding a variety of weapons. Many are injured from their ceaseless battles with beastmen.



Some Knights must forgo even horses, fighting afoot alongside the peasants that serve Brent





The most favoured of these peasants are armed and armoured from the Lord's armoury and granted the reliquary of the first Lord of Brent, Sir Sivald, to bear into battle.



I've done some work on the battle-pilgrims, including adding a Reaper Hercules and a witch to their front ranks; Luc welcomes any who fight Chaos into his army and doesn't really ask too many questions.


Brent is in the foothills of the Grey Mountains, in the realm of Carcassone. Their closest neighbours are the shadowy Elves of the House of Hawks, an exiled Ulthuani clan. Rules-wise they use units from the entire Elf range of the time, so they have war hydras, assassins, shadow warriors, chariots and reaper bolt throwers alongside Eternal Guard and Wardancers.









The Hawks use elite spear units (Eternal Guard) as their primary infantry











Cavalry, chariots and hunting beasts roam the flanks







Mages provide mystical support







While the most powerful warriors ride to battle upon noble griffons and dragons

Most strange and unnerving, however, are the cursed warriors of Lathen, once-Lord of Hawks, who swore an oath before the Elven gods to never rest so long as evil stalked the world. They granted his wish



Lathen still roams the world, trapped by his own unwise oath. His magics have grown since his first death



Loyal followers now march to his tune



Along with vanquished foes





And statues of the gods are given life to aid his quest

Lathen's Talu (vengeance Kindred) uses the rules for Tomb Kings

I plan to add some of upcoming Khainites to the army; there was a core of Alter Kindred elves in my first army list so I'll go from there. I need to find a decently scaled unit of Knights to flesh out the Bretonnians, and I'm considering adding some more monsters from Monstrous Arcanum to the list as well.
