Breaking the super glue of an old metal Predator sponson.

I bought an old Predator that came with lascannons for the sponsons. However, the sponsons in question already have Heavy Bolters glued in. I want them out, but I don't want to break the sponsons themselves and would prefer to keep the heavy Bolters intact if possible. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

Edit: for clarity, I'm trying to get the heavy Bolters out of the cylindrical metal bit they glue into.

I picked up some of the Zap-a-gap acetone CA solvent and it works pretty well. You have to let it sit a while to really do its work, though.

Also put it in the freezer. Superglue becomes extra brittle when frozen. Very possible you could freeze it and pop it right off. How you solve this will depend primarily on how the person built it in the first place (I've seen people use solder...use 5-minute epoxy on random things, etc.).

If all the parts are metal, just use acetone. It will kill the superglue pretty quickly.
