Balancing necrons vs Khorne Daemons+ World eaters for a narrative campaign

I am currently playing a narrative campaign vs Necrons. We are both players with a collection of 12-15000 pts. But no matter what he tries it seems my army just cuts through his like butter.
We are playing games of 2000 pts (but are planning to grow until apocalypse)

So far I have given him a 500 pts advantage (but had to be canoptek units, because his tomb world is still awakening) , a necron gate (allowing him to roll reanimation protocols even if a unit is destroyed without paying reinforcement pts, but he has to put the unit within 6" of the building and 9" away from enemy units.

All to no avail. My horde rushes up and beats the crap out of him. He is dead turn 3. While I mostly focus on scenario objectives.

We are playing fluffy armies (last game I was chasing him in the mountains, so I had 3x 5 flesh hounds and berzerkers in rhinos with a DP and some blocks of bloodletters in the warp, he played 20 + 2x 10 warriors, 2 ghost arks , 6 wraiths, 9 scarabs, overlord, cryptek, 3 tomb blades and some deathmarks and flayed ones in the warp who never hit the table)

All to no avail. The thing that strikes me the most is what he has to pay for getting a way lower output or usefulness then I get. Also serious lacking of options (especially anti vehicle options) and range +24" options. Also no cheap canon fodder to absorb deepstriking waves.
So I was thinking allowing him to go up to 30-40 models in a unit of warriors. Seems fluffy. Necrons should come in endless ranks. It should be harder to chew through that in one go and might make protocols more useful.

Any more ideas to help make our (friendly narrative) games more fun?

Honestly it sounds like he's not making a very good list. Our best anti tank/monster unit is the doomsday ark. One ghost ark is plenty to support warriors. Immortals are a much stronger troops choice. Also scarabs are cheap and great at screening against assaults. Regular Destroyers are pretty killy.

Deathmarks and flayed ones are two of our least effective units.

If i had to guess, I'd say the problem is with your opponent's list building and tactics

Wait... Is your opponent losing to bloodletters? As Necrons? It literally does not get more efficient than a Tesla Carbine Immortal when it comes to killing a t4 body that relies on its invuln.

For chaff to wall off against assault, tell him to use scarabs.

Bloodletters are T3, they lost that toughness when their 6th edition codex came out.

The fact that they're not dying to straight warriors is just sad. a T3 5++ unit shouldn't be a problem for Gauss weapons.
