[500] - Drukhari - Escalation Phase 1 of 4

Since I bought someones Drukhari, about a month before the codex was announced, I thought this would be perfect opportunity to start learning the playstyle more. The downsides of what I bought was it is almost pure cult models, with some kabal support and for the first phase of escalation I will be restricted to 1 detachment. So I've decided that initially will go with Kabals, then next phase add a cult detachment.

Things of note during this league is that you have a 150 pt sideboard to help against bad matchups, you cannot use standard detachments on stage 1 must use one of the supplied in the packet sent, and at the end of a phase you may switch out 1 unit to not include into the next phase. The sideboard for those who don't play magic is before deployment you see that your opponent is playing Imperial Knights, so i remove a unit that has the same or more point cost as the sideboard unit and use it, just as long as you stay under the 500 pts max on the field.

The detachment I am using will be :0-1 HQ, 2-5 troops, 0-1 elite, 0-1 heavy, 0-2 fast, 0-3 dedicated transport.

Archon: Splinter pistol, Venom blade 72pts
5 Kabalite warriors: blaster, phantasm grenade launcher 50pts
5 Kabalite warriors: blaster, phantasm grenade launcher 50pts
5 Kabalite Trueborn: Splinter Cannons x2, Blastesr x2 phantasm grenade launcher 109
Venom: Splinter Cannons x2 75 pts
Venom: Splinter cannon, Twin splinter rifles 65 pts
Venom: Splinter cannon, Twin splinter rifles 65 pts
total: 486 leaving enough points left over to switch out trueborn for trueborn.

is the Kabalite Trueborn an index datasheet ?
im not seeing them in the codex. If so you are gonna want to double check that they have the {Kabal} keyword because if they dont the entire detachment will not benefit from the obsession from what i understand

Trueborn are a legal index choice and they do have the keyword.

Cut the splinter cannons on the trueborn and put them on the venoms since you are using black heart. Upgrade to a huskblade on the Archon and always give the Archon a blaster, even if you have to cut one somewhere else. The extra BS is worth it.

Consider quad shredder trueborn. Its cheap and very effective. I actually like them more than blasterborn.

In my experince phantasm grenade launchers are not worth it, if you need points cut them.
