B5 ACTA campaign I am running I thought it would make sense to post an actual P&M thread for people to giggle at.
Whilst this will largely consist of Babylon 5 models there will also be some WHFB, 40K and various historicals appearing at some point.

An Earth Alliance Nova dreadnought and an Omega destroyer.




These have since been tidied up a bit, the guns on the Nova have been placed more rationally and transfers have been added.

Next I painted up some Minbari fighters;

These have since been based.

Following this I got another EA Omega destroyer painted as well as a pair of EA Hyperions;


Next up I moved onto Narn ships, starting with a pair of G'Quan class heavy cruisers;



I followed them up with a dozen Narn Frazi heavy fighters;



Next, a trio of Narn frigates, a Dag'kar and a pair of Thetus.


Lastly a pair of Narn Var'Nic long range destroyers.



And that's where I stand at the moment.

For the fighters I tried to match the scheme as closely as possible to the bigger ones up thread they proved remarkably difficult to photo though as the camera only focused on either the stem or the background.

I'm not familiar at all with Babylon 5. But I've always liked space ships. So that's good enough for me.

The Warglobe is one of my favourite ships of all time because it is so different from the norm, most ships tend to look like adaptations of real world things (birds/planes/ships/subs) but the Warglobe is just so bizarre and alien. Really wish it was a better cast as I would get a few more of them.

I've actually just started re-watching Stargate. So B5 will have to wait 16 and a half seasons and 2 movies. But then I may have to watch Farscape as well. So tack on however many seasons that is....

Depsite appearances they have been drybrushed with three different shades and glazed with two more. They just appear to be black and shiny in the pics.

The miniatures are a mix of scales from two different lines (Fleet action and B5 Wars) but they made little attempt to maintain a coherency of scale between the miniatures within those ranges.

Snrub - First, spelling is really hard. I am not sure if it is the thread name or mine own that is in error, both seems likely. But hey its not like I am getting paid for my speeling…

That is my one and only Knight, I didn't really plan on building that one but was getting jealous of everyone else having stompy robots and thought I should join in the party (actually got a cheap split on... Forgebane?). I did have a grown up knight second hand a couple of years back that ended up spread over State highway 2 after a car crash so this is his replacement. Do you have a preference re scale? Always fancied picking up some earth force. The Narn escorts look like they could be proxied as larger scale fighters too actually!

BFG so it is just the flight stand that is important for the rules and the model is just a pretty token so it is irrelevant what models are used, though having said that I do really dislike the tiny fighters so use the full scale ones instead, this is a bit visually jarring but eh, at least I can tell at a glance which type is which as my eyesight is not the best.

Bob - Thank you very much for that mate! It looks ideal, will be breathing new life in to my campaign log when the tournament season ends in a couple of months and it will be needed.

So, in what is for me record timing I have managed to get another couple of B1 sections completed! If I carry on painting at this rate I will get through my pile of shame in about... 9 years?
