If I assemble the turret with the shield in place, I'm pretty sure I wont be able to slide the cannon into place.

If I do glue the earth shaker cannon platform into the chassis, I don't think I'll be able to get the shield to sit correctly on the earth shaker platform.

Does anybody have experience with this? Current plan is to glue the shield on first and then slide the turret into place at an angle and lower it as much as possible, but I worked really hard on these and I don't want to have a disaster on my hand.
