				<title>[2,000] - Thousand Sons - Competitve</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I do my best to hide the Predators turn 1 so that they can pop out and shoot things with kilshot strategem and an exalted sorcerer guiding them. I know most people are aghast that there is no Ahriman in this list, but to be honest, he wouldn't benefit anymore than an exalted on a disk. His purpose is to stay back and assist the predators by increasing their accuracy and healing them. Also, I like him having helm of the third eye, something Ahriman can't take. All of the Tzaangors (flying and on foot) charge up with the Demon Prince casting warptime and throwing the Tzaangors forward with Dark Matter Crystal. Rubrics screen the predators if there is a potential melee alpha strike threat, or in most other cases, they sit on objectives. I would love to hear your thoughts! 				<description><![CDATA[ No, this is matched play. All of the casters with identical powers (aspiring sorcerers and shamans) are only able to cast 1 spell each turn, which will mostly be smite. Tzeentch's Firestorm and Glamour of Tzeentch are there as options. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ yes but you cant cast in multiple so what's reason to give them? <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(17);'>btw</span> i would take Ahriman omn disk instead exalted sorcerer, or take out a rubric squad and take a 2nd <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>Dp</span>, and if you  really plan to waste 141pts baby sitting predators then play a sorcerer on foot, rubrics on foot are dead meat, i dont know whit who you play usually but that cant work, then of course depend by level of play you have.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ @blackmage a few things:<br /> <br /> 1. I already explained why it doesn't matter that I can't cast the same spell twice. The answer is smite. Smite is the priority spell and can be cast without penalty due to the brotherhood of sorcerers. I give aspiring sorcerers tzeentch's firestorm and shamans the glamour of tzeentch because they are the only spells in the discipline of change that synergies well with the rest of the army.<br /> <br /> 2. In regards to using Ahriman instead of an exalted sorcerer on disk, that was also explained, in the original post. The exalted sorcerer's purpose is to stay back and assist the predators with a re-roll 1's aura, prescience and temporal manipulation, while generating command points with helm of the third eye. The benefits for using Ahriman are an improved invulnerable save (he's probably not getting shot at), +1 to cast (already have with warlord trait), +1 deny (he won't be in range to deny things), and can cast/deny a third spell. I'd rather be generating command points and saving 15 points, but I would love to hear your reasoning for me using Ahriman instead. <br /> <br /> Being an exalted on a disk instead of a sorcerer on foot is important for 4 reasons: The 12" move is to keep up with the 12" move of the predators, he has a bit more survivability to justify making him my warlord, regular sorcerers don't have a re-roll 1's to hit aura, and in the case that the predators die (very likely) and he has to find new tasks, he will be able to get in range much quicker. <br /> <br /> 3. "Rubrics on foot are dead meat?" I know you're not suggesting that they sit in a rhino where they can't cast or deny spells or shoot are you? I know you're not suggesting that a t4 2+ 4++ against most guns is dead meat. "Can't work?" Their purpose is to grab objectives and screen my predators from alpha strikes. They do that very well. But hell, if the enemy wants to target the rubrics instead of the 30 tzaangors in their frontline turn 1, then by all means, kill a few. <br /> ]]></description>

It would be far better to drop the four squads of five more more tzaangors or cultists, especially as you mentioned screening for the preds. <br /> <br /> I don't know why Ahriman ISNT in your list. He is just far far superior to the single exalted sorc. Tell me when paying 15 points for an extra spell, attack, invun and 3 damage isn't worth it. <br /> <br /> Try and vary your spells. Duplicates of good ones is not optimal. You only get 1 chance to cast it anyway. It's better to leave your options open than shut them away. Even if you smite more than anything else, a second option to cast a spell is better.<br /> <br /> Rubrics get cleared too quickly, its not hard to shift them. and if you peril the squad is basically gone. It would be better to get access to a soulreaper in squads of 10 at least.<br /> <br /> But hey, if that's what works for you, go ahead. Just ram the tzaangors and Magnus (not warlord) don’t your opponent’s throat whilst the rest of your army moves up.]]></description>
