Shading Ulthuan Grey?

So, I'm painting some Stormcast Eternals Celestial Vindicators right now. Large portions of their capes are white. So, I'm using Celestra Grey as a base, then Ulthuan Grey as a layer to bring it up to a very bright grey color before highlighting with White Scar. So, is it worth trying to shade Ulthuan Grey? If so, what GW shade would you recommend? Maybe a very, very diluted Nuln Oil?

Thanks in advance!

SG

Do not shade white. It just goes horrible.

Look on the painting guide of Warhammer TV for Magnus, there is a very nice effect pulled off with nihilak oxide.

That's all I can think of. Otherwise look up other guides on YT

I've found it's possible to get a decent shade effect by taking a color like russ gray and making a glaze with my mixing it with a lot of glaze medium ( I think GW's is called Lahmian medium? I use vallejo glaze medium) at least 3 parts medium to one part paint. I'd experiment with the exact mix on a test mini if you have one. It takes a lot longer than a normal shade to dry, but the effect is a lot more subtle.
