I have chosen to start collecting tyranids, and i need a colour scheme i can do fast, yet have it look the way i want. Specifically what i'm after is either a look with pale flesh and light blue or pink carapace. I understand that the new washes are way better then the old inks. Is there a way to use a wash heavy technique to get light colours? can someone point me in a direction of a guide on how to achieve this? I have attached some photos for reference. I realise that i will not get the best results straight away, but speed is more important to me then perfection.

You can then pick out as much or as little detail after to accentuate things like eyes, horns etc.
