Citadel paints to dropper bottles. Flo-aid vs Vallejo thinner vs water

Hey all

I have a question for you guys , im about to transfer my citadel paints into dropper bottles, i've seen a few videos on how to do it.

some people use water to get the last few ml out of the citadel pots. I have seen other videos where people use liquitex flo-aid.

I have available Vallejos Thinner medium

Which of the three options would be best?

i've heard some conflicting vews on both water and flo-aid:

for water i read somewhere that you should never put water into the pots as in time it can affect the adhesion of the pigment with the medium (if i remember correctly).
for flo-aid i read that it changes the way paint behaves too much and it starts working as a glaze ( doesnt cover as well , but some people like it that way and just use more coats).

but i never seen anyone mention anything about vallejos thinner medium. does anyone know any pros and cons of using it to transfer paint into dropper bottles?

I like the idea of using the thinner since thats what i use to thin my paints on my palette (never use water) , so i figure that once im ready to paint i would just have to put a little less thinner on the palette since the paint would already be thinned down a little bit since the transfer of pots.

any suggestions, comments , ideas?!

Just use any acrylic medium for the transfer. You will always lose a little paint regardless of method, but the paint savings from having them in dropper bottles afterwards more than makes up for it.

In your situation, the Vallejo thinner medium would be more than fine.

I haven't done it yet so I may not be as helpful, but everyone in my area uses Liquitex Matte Medium for transferring. Pretty cheap too if it's available in your area.
