Canoptek Spyder HQ

I'm a big fan of Canoptek units for Necrons, and in fact am fluffwise trying to field only constructs and vehicles when possible to represent a Tomb World that hasn't yet fully awoken. One issue that I have is how very few of the HQs are helpful to such a list. According to some of the lore on Canoptek Spyders, they tend to serve as directing the constructs until a Lord awakens, so I thought we could discuss how to best represent that.

First of all,

If a trio of constructs are acting in concert, one will take command and harness the processing capability of the other two to create a gestalt supermind far greater than the sum of its parts. This hyper-efficiency is passed on to all Canoptek Wraiths and Scarabs in the vicinity, allowing for Spyders to affect a coordinated and precise response to any threat.

So, we'll say something like:

Canoptek Spyder Overseer, HQ slot. The unit comes with one Canoptek Overseer and two Canoptek Spyders. Spyders are at their normal points, the Overseer takes a 30(ish?) point bump to become a Character. As I recall, Character on even one model means the entire unit won't be able to be targeted, so I figure it should be pretty pricey.

The Overseer can't take normal warlord traits, but always gains the following: Constructed Sentinel: Friendly <Dynasty> Canoptek units within 6" can reroll Hit rolls of 1. In addition, Friendly <Dynasty> Canoptek units within 6" can perform Heroic Interventions, as though they were Characters.

I feel like rolling the aura ability into the warlord trait helps reinforce the fact that even a low-ranking noble or cryptek takes precedence over the construct, but should there be a hard limit to where one can't be selected if you have an actual Necron Character present in the army?

Additionally, the trait doesn't really do that much to be honest, Wraiths already hit pretty hard, and it wouldn't be able to keep up with Scarabs.

How's this for a suggestion, based off the FW Canoptek Stalker:

Canoptek Overseer:
M10" WS3+ BS3+ S7 T7 W8 A4 Ld10 Sv3+/5++

Wargear
Exile Lance
Vicious Claws

Exile Lance: Range 36" S10 Ap-3 D:3 Heavy D3 - Wound rolls of 6 inflict 3 Mortal Wounds instead of the normal damage.
Vicious Claws: Range: Melee S:User Ap-2 D:2

May take a Gloom Prism for (however many points it costs).

Special Rules
Living Metal

Binding Grip The serpentine appendages of the Overseer are able to bind and restrict enemy movement, preparing them for evisceration: Models within 1" of the Overseer reduce any hit rolls by 1.

Constructed Sentinel - Roll a D6 whenever a <DYNASTY> Canoptek unit within 6" loses a wound. On a roll of 6, the wound is ignored. In addition, such may add 1" to all moves and charge distances they make.
