Strengthening Weak Flimsy Plastic

Anyone got any tips for the above??? I have a Chapter Master Balthasar from Dark Vengeance but his sword is super flimsy. Seems like it could break pretty easily.

Besides green stuff (I'm terrible at sculpting) is there any easy ways to support and reinforce the blade that won't look terrible???

I wouldn't say his sword is flimsy per-se. It protrudes a lot so will get "knocked", if you will. But unless you treat it rough it should be strong enough to survive without need for reinforcement.

I play AdMech, so all of my models have dozens of flimsy bits. As long as you store it properly, it should be fine.

But if in doubt, you could try using acrylic gesso as your primer. Artists use it to make their canvases stiffer, not to mention add a bit more tooth. And I can attest from personal experience that models primed only in gesso don't get any chips even after being crushed by a 2 lb steel baking pan. Warning though: Gesso does go onto minis like a second skin, so you may lose extremely fine details.

Use a very fine drill bit, go up through the pommel, hilt and as far as you can into the blade, keeping it very straight. Then glue a sewing pin into it.
