How to do a toxic base when the model's already attached?

As a first project after coming back into the hobby, I decided that a DP of Nurgle would do. However, out of my old habits, I glued the model directly to the base after assembly.

I want to give this one a nice base, using some kind of toxic river going between it's feet. But I have no idea how to accomplish this when the model is already attached.
Clear coat resin won't work due to it having a model on it already.

Could it be done by simply using a lot of agrellan earth and put nurgle's rot in between? Or am I better off finding a way to dissolve the glue?

Any help appreciated!

It can be done using Stirland Battlemire/Mud. Go quite thick so the DP looks like he's sinking into the mud and form a channel between his legs that can later be painted with Caliban Green then Nurgles Rot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na26t36C7X4

Depending on the glue used to attach to the base it may be possible to either snap or prise the model away.

How to do a toxic base when the model's already attached?

I did it for a whole DG army. First, get this tool, it makes life sooooo much easier when the model is already glued on: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/M-Texture-Speader

Use stirland mud. let dry, then apply like a forest green (dark angels green if your sticking with citadel). When you use the stirland mud it will create little "valleys," for lack of a better word. Paint the dark green in those valleys. When you've already glued your models I usually just do the front and back of 25-32mm models but got a bit crazy on the larger bases.

Then use the Nurgle's rot technical over the green paint: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Technical-Nurgles-Rot. When it's all done it comes out like the ooze from ninja turtles and very nurgle, and very toxic.
