Suspect it may be several stories being misremembered and combined into one (as with most legends/myths). We have the one above, the one I posted, and the Seers of Lugganath infiltrating Nurgle's Garden, throw in a little embellishment by adding Khorne and voila!

GM of the GKs, who is trapped in the Warp and comes out every now and then with no sign of taint. But unfortunately when the Daemons are vanquished and the warp tear is sealed, Draigo gets sucked back in.

I've definitely read people on this board and, I think, 1d4chan mentioning it before.
