Depends how GW did them, if they made them unique and give them lots of flavour instead of being just spikey DA's, I'd definitely collect them. I was always on Zahariel and Luthers side. They could make them styled in GC armour etc. which I would love, I love the old legions far more than chapters. Plus they'd be far cooler as a Chaos army as they have their own style, not as obviously spikey as the big four legions. The fallen have to be in the older scale to make sense, in particular they should be in older marks of armor with a lot of mismatched armor sets.

They might get a quick and dirty rule set at some point but I don't see a big release.

My pet theory is that the Fallen were the loyalists on Johnson’s side. They reached Caliban, still wearing black, and fought against Luther’s green-clad traitors. At the crescendo of the Lion’s duel against Luther, Chaos enveloped the world and started to drag the loyalists - the Lion included - into a warp rift. In his moment of victory, however, Luther went mad with regret. The surviving traitors realized that they, too, had been tricked, used by the powers of the warp. They renewed their vows to the Imperium, and when a reinforcing fleet arrived they claimed to have been the loyalists all along. They keep Luther in stasis so he doesn’t say anything incriminating, and that’s also why they’re so desperate to hunt down the “Fallen”. And wen they say they want them to repent (both Luther and the Fallen), they mean they want to break them to the point that they’ll tell the right story and genuinely think it’s the real one.

In real-world terms, that allows GW to write a campaign book or two about the Fallen and maybe the Inquisition (and why not, the Space Wolves) going to war against the Dark Angels and their successor chapters. I don’t know that I like any of the potential outcomes, though. Not that I’ve spent much time trying to think of one, but it’d be easier to alienate players than to create something interesting.

Thats what I think. Once primaris are fully phased in to all units, the old armour will just be written about as that..merely an old mark of armour, not a smaller variant of armour. Death Guard and Thousand Sons have been quite a bit larger than the older CSM releases. As for bringing Luther and the Fallen back as a faction, that would be pretty awesome, even if only Luther got an official model. I'm actually ok with the cult troops being a bit bigger, if anyone should be big and fat it's DG. Completely agree, though the new specialist detachment and keyword rules might help with this. I can't help but be excited that the Vigilus story might give us some more insight as to the truth behind the motivations of some of these characters.
