I've been trying to find a quote (to post in another thread) but I'm having no luck so I'm not sure if I'm mis-remembering it or just making it up. It was something along the lines of "When the Expedition fleet reached planet X they were welcomed with open arms, and the planet joined the Imperium. However, genetic testing later revealed alien DNA mixed with theirs - added to cure a plague millennia before. The Emperor ordered the population sterilised so the planet could later be re-populated by pure humans." I think it was a sidebar or an aside rather than a main point, and I thought it was in one of the Black Books, but I can't spot it.

Does anyone else remember it, or am I spouting gibberish?
