Testor’s Color Shift rattle cans?

Anyone tried this stuff yet? I don’t have an airbrush so I can’t play with those chameleon paints I’ve seen people use. This looks like a the same effect from a rattle can but it’s $9 for 3oz of paint which will probably spray just a few Alpha Legion. Pricey but the effect could be worth it.

I've used this stuff on a marine. I used the purple/green, and usually it looks like he's painted a sort of purply bronze except occasionally when the angle to the light is just right and he appears green unexpectedly.

I actually found that, while painting this figure, I kept forgetting that it was Color Shift because I was always at the same angle to the light I work under.

Testor’s Color Shift rattle cans?

That’s pretty subtle, I’ve seen it on cars and it’s more dramatic outside. How many coats did it take? How many marines do you think you could do per can?

I think that was two or three coats. I'm not sure how many a can can do, since I only did this one guy to test out the paint. A gloss varnish would probably help. Try spraying it on a model you don't particularly care for.
