Space Marine 'Conan' conversion with damsel.

I'm looking at converting an SM into the classic 'Conan pose', with him standing on a pile of ork bodies with a beautiful damsel either at his feet (a'la Conan) or embraced in one arm.

I think I can do the pile of bodies and the required leg conversion fine (I want his foot resting on a warboss's head), but I need a model for the damsel, preferably at least partly clothed. While one holding his leg would be the 'classic' pose, I also imagine that would be the hardest to find and fit. I imagine it might be easier to modify one of his arms to hold a standing figure against him, in which case I'd still need to find the right damsel miniature.

So far these (NSFW) are the best I've found, but I'd obviously prefer plastic, and I'd have to green stuff some bras...

Any suggestions for models or other ideas?

Eventually went through and picked out a few I liked in resin, so hopefully they work out. Through all the searching I found it odd nobody's produced some generic 28mm damsels in distress in the classic poses, even for the various pulp games.

Yeah. You'd think there was demand.

That said, I imagine it's tricky doing separate models meant to be able to fit on another model. As a model maker you can't easily predict what stance any given main model has, nor foresee the basing. In that picture Conan has a specific stance on a mound. The closest I came were those 32mm ones. Kind of makes me wish I could 3D model worth a dam.

Re:Space Marine 'Conan' conversion with damsel.

Maybe it's miniature producers agreeing with my personal likes (that would be a first...), but much of what is out there seems to be sculpted to work in a game rather than be used in displays and dioramas. That means poses that make some sense in combat, for the most part. Me, I would hesitate to use even a soldier reclining in a chair as a model in a squad, regardless of whether they're all doing their job or sitting around like the guy. The closest I got to that is an Italian machine gunner for Bolt Action I had spare who sits around and holds a cup of coffee to fill in as the squad's light machine gunner. And that only works for me because Italians are a joke.

I occasionally check on Fenryll's line of medieval civilians simply because they are examples of models with poses outside of the action oriented combat models you typically see. The models are pretty mediocre (but at least with a price to match), but they have some character and are fun to look at a dream about the dioramas you could do with them. I never bought anything other than their animals, though, because I simply don't have any use for villagers doing random stuff. I think RPG model lines are the closest you'll get to something like that, aside from perhaps some pinup models, because the context of those games has more scope than combat oriented tabletop games and thus differently posed models make sense.

No doubt being able to sculpt stuff yourself is a great way to circumvent the limitations of the market.
