Ork Weirdboyz and their limit of power?

The power of Ork Weirdboyz appears to be almost random which means that they can basically do anything, especially if they grow to maturity, become a warhead and become da boss. However, I am painting up my snakebites with the idea that every Ork is basically a mind controlled zombie all lead by a singular weirdboy. I'm wondering if anything like this has ever come up in the lore before? Or if this, in itself, is lore friendly?
