What technique do you use to blend colors using paint brushes?

There are different techniques for different jobs and it ultimately depends on what you're wanting to learn and how much you're willing to practise.

I'm not very good at wet blending but I do try to do it on cloaks. You can literally do it on anything you take your brush to if you're patient enough and you can get some lovely results.

For feathering I don't use the technique very much, and I'm not very good at that either.

What technique do you use to blend colors using paint brushes?

Wet blending is very difficult to get right. You should focus on perfecting feathering first. The trick is to use lots of thin layers. Dragging the paint from the area you want the least paint to the area you want most, so if you were bringing up a Highlight, you'd start the stroke somewhere in the dark region and drag it towards the raised area, and vice versa for shadows. Then use a little water to blend the edges for smoothness.
