				<title>8th Edition Astra Militarum Rough Riders and Mech. Guard</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ So I am soon to begin a second Astra Militarum army based on my 487th Lunar Venatorii Panther Cavalry Regiment 'Wyrm Guard'. Anyways the set up I have them working as gunning from bikes, horses, and flying wyrms. Now I know the Wyrms have no close equivalency. But the bike and horse troops can be Rough Rider conversions and I will deal with the rules. However I want to know viable tactics for them. In support of them I will have traditional Guard in Chimeras and if I can afford it Turoas &lt;buggies&gt;.<br /> <br /> Sorry for any misspelling I am typing  from my phone.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Building the Rough Riders in with Straken as Catachan is probably the best since it is the only way to get additional lance attacks. If you give a company commander the dagger relic Straken can outflank with them.<br /> <br /> Cadia can also give them a boost for one turn with the Lost Relic and technically Overlapping Fields can give them no risk plasma.<br /> <br /> Any Rough Riders can also benefit from Yarrick's aura.<br /> <br /> Other than that the lack of orders and other benefits denies them much effective synergy with the Regiment keyword.<br /> <br /> I ran heavy Rough Riders out of Cadian brigades in the past. If you look through my older battle reports you can find some commentary on them.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ While Rough Riders don't really benefit from the Tallarn regimental doctrine, I've found that Tallarn Chimeras are the way to go for mechanised infantry.  It lets you move your transports and still fire your guns at full efficiency, and I'm a big fan of being able to move and advance the guys on foot and still be able to shoot with them.  It makes for a very mobile army.]]></description>
