Archon alternatives?

There is only one Archon model currently on sale by GW, and it offers very little in the way of customization. I'm looking for alternatives, as I want to be able to field up to 3-4 archons without them looking identical.

The Magus (Genestealer Cults) seems like a good option, if you use a female Drukhari head and find a way to put a blast pistol in either of her hands. She looks very regal and decadent, and I can absolutely picture a vain Archon strolling across the battlefield in this sort of ballroom attire.

The Visarch looks okay too, though unfortunately it seems you can only buy him with the other two Ynnari, which is expensive.

The Black Ark Fleetmaster from Age of Sigmar:

Any other ideas? On this very forum I've seen a conversion using Lokhir Fellheart, but sadly GW no longer sells that incredible model.

.

Speaking of Ynarri, I'm planning an Archon based off Yvraine (and using the Visarch for a Craftworld Autarch), but yeah, it's an expensive way of doing it.

The GSC Magus looks like it would totally fit with only a bit of work.

What about some of the Deepkin characters? (if you remove the fishes and do weapon / head swaps)

Do we have to stick with GW models? As the WMH ranges of Legion of Everblight and Skorne are ripe for Archon conversions with a few choice GW bits on them.

Here's one I made from Vayl1 many years ago to represent Lady Malys

@Quanar: Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn't considered Idoneth Deepkin models but they do have a good aesthetic, combining grace/elegance with menace.

Grimtuff wrote:
Do we have to stick with GW models?

Ideally, yes, as the store where I play the most often is a GW store and they ask us to use GW models. Although, if one of my models has a few non-GW bits here and there, they probably won't object (or even notice).

Pretty cool Lady Malys, by the way.

.
