Kitbashing resin and plastic

I'm considering making an autarch by kitbashing together a glaive and possibly banner from my Dire Avenger set with the body of a Striking Scorpion. Does anyone have experience combining resin and plastic kits?

Yeah, lots. You need to use superglue to stick it together other than that what do you want to know?

Pinning will go a long way to helping your build stay together, although with eldar that may be a little tricky since they're fairly thin bits you're dealing with.

And as Ingtaer said, superglue is your friend here.

Yeah I would think twice about pinning with such small parts in finecast, though to be honest outside of pewter models I don't pin anything and have never had much of a problem (other than Raging Heroes, but that is a different story!).

I pin all my resin unless it has some sort of connector already built in, but connecting resin to plastic will usually mean flat joins, so pinning all the way.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
You'll need fine drill bits, some thin wire(I use flower arranging wire for parts that thin.) and a steady hand
