				<title>[2000] - Astra Militarum </title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hey, <br /> <br /> This is my main list that I run at my local <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(38);'>FLGS</span> with its newest addition, a Valkyrie!!! What do you all think? Originally I was running with sisters as allies but I've decided to focus on Guard for now until the sisters release later this year. <br /> <br /> Main idea is to survive the 1st turn i don't anticipate on getting ( too many drops), then turn 2 ambush in the devil dog and plasma Vets to cripple/destroy enemy heavy armour or heavy infantry. At this point my hope is my Vanguard <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> has survived first off and got within 18'' to order Take aim and if the Laurels works another order as well on both vet squads. I am not against splitting the vets and devil dog onto different board edges but past experiences tell me that i need every plasma shot on deck to support the Devil Dog, as that thing can just miss ( hence the augur array). Assasin is a Callidus, the only one i own at the moment. She hopefully kills something, be it <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>, character or chaff units. Have yet to try out her new strategems, has anyone had success with them?<br /> <br /> Turn 1 i can drop the scions in ( from hovering Valkyrie) for an alpha counter attack, or hold on and wait to strike turn 2 as I don't want to drop into hover off the bat and loose that -1 to hit. Ideally they drop into cover and hold an objective. Flamer squad with the Platoon Commander is there to take an objective or die trying. Everything else is just there to mix it up with the enemy traditionally. Best case scenario the Valkyrie rescues the survivors of the vanguard detachment after its initial drop. <br /> <br /> I threw the Primaris psyker in there as a way to get some mortal wounds out there vs tough targets via Smite and/or Psychic Maelstrom. Thought is to run him in one of the chimera's or in the Valkyie <br /> <br /> Things I'm on the fence on: Primaris Psyker, Ogryn Bodyguard ( don't own model yet), Using Emperor's Blade detachment, using a Tempestor Prime at all ( is it worth it for just one squad?), better loadout on my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(737);'>TC</span> Leman Russ ( I only have one tank :( ) Valkyie loadout? Should I run a regimental standard in my Vanguard Command squad instead of a medic for that extra leadership with the Commissar? along with medic and sacrifice a melta gunner? <br /> <br /> Thoughts? 				<description><![CDATA[ With guard, always go for boys over toys. Try to keep that equipment to a minimum (looking at those voxs).<br /> <br /> Primaris psyker is nice, but you need multiples for them to do anything. Same with astropaths.<br /> <br /> Ogryn body guards are also good. I prefer the 4++ over the 3+ save. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> weapon is a must. Again, multiples are better than single models.<br /> <br /> For the valk, remember that you are shooting at -1 to hit when firing heavy weapons while moving. Don't expect much from it's fire power.<br /> <br /> Avoid mixing weapons in squads when possible (tempestor squads)]]></description>
