The Rhana Dandra is mentioned in the Harlequins Codex and the Ynnari backstory, since the end of the Rhana Dandra was supposed to be the original birth of Ynnead and the Ynnari kind of prematurely rushed things. The events of Gathering Storm literally affected and opened Cegorah's book on the Rhana Dandra in the Black Library

I agree, but I'd like to add that it isn't THAT stupid for the Wailing Doom to be one. It's isn't because each Avatar of Khaine has one, so it can't be, however the Crone Swords WERE FORGED BY KHAINE out of the severed fingers of Morag Hai. So it isn't dumb for the reason you mentions, but dumb for other reasons

Could it be ONE of the Wailing Dooms? Maybe, but I highly doubt it since, to my knowledge, no single Wailing Doom has been noted to have unusual qualities above the others (as we would expect for a Crone Sword).

I'm still betting it's the Dawn Blade. Not only does it have "control" over life essence (stealing it from its victims and prolonging Farsight's) but it has a nice play on its name when paired with Yriel's Twilight Spear

I always thought they were multiple shards of the one Wailing Doom. There's a singular Khaine split between multiple Avatars and the same for his sword. They had a similar thing with the Shards of Anaris until that got retconned.

Yes. That took me from thinking the story of it was completely moronic and written by someone who knew nothing about Eldar to thinking it was just a bad book written by someone who did a bad job.

I haven't read Ghost Warrior or Wild Rider but The Gathering Storm had Yvraine's party tracking down two Crone Swords to a Crone World in the Eye of Terror where they were attacked first by the Hameonculus Covens and the Slaaneshi Daemons. One sword was recovered and taken up by the Yncarne but they were overrun by the Daemons before they could get to the second sword so it should still be there in the Eye of Terror.
