Yeah I've seen that but they want 83USD for that and that's a no go for me. I'm not really a fan of anvils pieces either.

Hey, no worries. If you're going to be painting a platoon, you need to like the minis :-D

Ever thought of a straight historical force to convert? You'll get 40 Winter WWII Soviet troops for that £30 from Warlord Games. They will be a lot less chunky than SF troops made to mix with GW models though.

I recently converted some 8,8 cm Flak into field guns for my renegades (used as heavy mortar) had to replace all barrells with an AC one to get a propper size effect.

Same's true for all historical artillery and tank guns. The barrel on a Leman Russ is HUGE!

Those Svargans on the Victoria Miniatures site look nice - reminds me I still want a squad of Broolians!
