I use a cardboard box filled with polystyrene, then superglue each piece to toothpicks (heads, weapons, pads, single arms)
The bodies glued to bases are 3m doublesided to the box

I am intrigued by the citadel version and do like the "pistol" grip for control. It's cheap enuff to try it out.
