The Flyrant

So going to create my 2nd Tyranid Hive Tyrant soon and my first was talons/hvc walker. Of course I want to deviate and model this one with wings, but upon reading up a lot of people have mentioned that GW messed up this model as the wings steal from an arm slot. Seen some cool work arounds, but I’m not like that as I like WUSIWUG and don’t want to get into magnetizing. I guess what I’m asking is a few things. Do a lot of players take the model in their own way (either skipping WUSIWUG or augmenting)? Can’t be the only one who feels like this, so what’s the most effective load out with accepting this lost of arm slot. Also heard that people consider the legs as talons which solves the taken up arms slot that would be take up with the wings.

Anyway just looking for some feedback, nothing better than a Dalkka community response. Appreciate it.

Thanks

I have 3 flyrants, 1 stranglethorn cannon, 1 with fleshborer hives and regular flyrant feet talons and one with crushing claws. One set of flesborder hives looks way better than slimer maggots and or deathspitters.

If I buy another apocalypse box I'm going to make a hive tyrant with a rupture cannon.

My advice 1 set of fleshborer hives. You can also be super cool and have it stand on the ground
