The leader is one of "The Severed", and he's cultivated his own small warband. Essentially, the goal is to create a larger warband- an army. His reasoning is that he needs a diverse set of skills, and cult troops like Tzeentch sorcerors, Plaguemarines, Noise Marines, and Berserkers- or any other follower of a chaos god- have their own perspectives and solutions to problems- and there's no reason to have only ONE solution.
