Can you identify these mini's?

So I have a small collection of figures that my granduncle gave me around 2010. Now, I didn't know anything about Warhammer at the time, and he didn't tell me what they were. I just thought they were cool old toys, and when I asked for them, he let me have them without a second thought.

Even now I don't know a many of the finer details of Warhammer 40k lore, so I could use some help identifying these warriors.

I'm sure I've got some Eldar, and I think the only member of the Imperium is a Dreadnought. Most of these figures represent forces I don't recognize.

As for the figures themselves, they're definitely made of pewter and based on the Google searches I did I'm pretty sure they're from the early 90's. I couldn't find pictures of my exact mini's. The closest I found were rusted pewter Space Marines that were almost certainly from the same time period.

I'm really hoping someone here has photos of these same mini's but in better condition. I want to see what these look like when they're well taken care of. Mine pretty much looked like this when I got em'. I want to see the Dreadnought especially, as mine is missing pieces.

90's Warhammer 40k Pewter Mini's

So they're an older design huh? That explains why I was having so much trouble identifying them. And, why a buddy of mine told me they were probably "Gen 2" mini's.

@ingtaer
This is some great info. Thanks man!

Edit: Still trying to figure out what kind of SM that is. Looking at it again, its head position and face reminds me of the Terminator Armor.

The last one is a RAFM (NOT GW, a different miniatures company) Destructor model missing arms.
