DCCW built-in weapon,underslung or wrist-mounted?

This is an experimental conversion sample, for made a "human-hand"DCCW with built-in weapon.
But there's a problem:for the built-in weapon,underslung or wrist-mounted(like grey knights),which sensible and practible?

for a underslung weapon,They are installed at the bottom of forearm, which can effectively avoid being hit by enemy fire in battle, and the center of gravity position is more reasonable.
in addition, when DCCW's hand catches the enemy, the underslung weapon can make a point blanked shot.

But on the other hand, the underslung-weapons can interfere with the movement of the arms and are likely to destroy weapons barrel in combat（for example, when dreadnought make a punching or smash, underslung weapon's barrel should hit object first）.

for a wrist-mounted weapon，this makes it less likely to destroy them in combat, and seems to limit arm movement even less.
but the forearm's center of gravity will be more lateral and more vulnerable to enemy fire.

Aesthetically and (theoretically) practically, I prefer the top/forearm mount. As cool and cinematic as the thought of grabbing an enemy's head and melting a hole in his chest as he dangles helplessly in the air is, I figure if a dread already has you by the face, you're DONE, with or without the extra point blank shot.

I wouldn't worry too much about center of gravity. It's a small piece, relative to the whole model, and the character it's attached to is a stompy death robot housing a former stompy supersoldier. In either sense, that degree of bulk and weight is a mere pittance. Underslung made more sense on the old 'elephant foot' style of battering ram DCCWs that mostly moved in a single plane, but it just looks like it would cause too much interference with the hand and arm movement, here. That's my take, for what it's worth.

The muzzle should not be longer than the wrist. which will interference the movement of the hand and arm,—— especially grasping the enemy's head and give them a melta-point blank shot.
