Sister of Battle steampunk-style head

Hey folks!

I'm diligently chipping away at my new Sisters army (like so many others), currently painting my first Excorcist, but I've been distracted by a project. I wanted to make my Sisters a bit more tech-savvy than they are usually portrayed (in my lore they affiliate a lot with a local Mechanicus world that owes them big time), and I want to portray that by making a unique canoness (a canoness who's job it is to shepard the convent's motorpool).

In essence, an Adepta Tech-Marine. I have the parts for it (the tech marine backpack looks hilarious on a Sister in fact), but what I'm missing is the right head. The normal Sister heads all have either a very frowny face or are screaming. But this is a person doing what she loves, working on machines she adores. So I want a face that's smiling or at the least smirking. Add to that I want her to have goggles (not wearing them, but on top of her head as a hairband) and preferably pigtails I can drape over the armor. And before you say it, I'm terrible with green stuff, it always ends up like a blob.

So, in essence either a female WoW gnome engineer head, or Entrapta from She-Ra (if she had a 28mm mini it would be absolutely perfect I just realised).

I've checked out Hasslefree, Spellcrow, Reaper, GW (barely any female heads to start with), but no succes so far. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be much oblidged. Either a single plastic mini not to expensive to cut up, or a row of heads like what Spellcrow does.

yea, what you want prolly only exists at an obscure fractured corner of the web that i dont know of.

clousest i know of would be this. https://wargameexclusive.com/shop/space-warriors/imperial-assassin-heads-set-3u/

alternativly why not have someone make it for you, like this service? https://furryandthebeast.com/
i have not tryed them but they seems to be ok.

Hmm I guess you already checked these, but what about the Forgeworld Escher heads? Two hairband-style goggles here but also quite some frowning/screaming, though ... also no pigtails. https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-DE/Escher-Heads-Upgrade-Set-2019 ... also, the plastic Escher kit seems to have separate hairpieces (lol) but this might be terribly fiddly ...

I don't have anything to offer for sources beyond what the others have said-- sorry on that. But do give sculpting goggles a try. I'm far from a skilled GS sculptor but I have managed goggles, and Sisters kits have tons of extra heads to mess with. Mix a firm batch of GS, get two exactly equal tiny balls of it, and press them lightly into the eye orbits. Let them cure a bit, moisten them, and press into them with a round tool with an opening at the end. This could be the nib of a mechanical pencil, a plastic sheath stripped from a small gauge bit of wire, or a piece of plastic rod with a hole drilled in the end. The round indentation from the open end of your tool creates the separation between lens and frame, and the pressure joins the GS at the bridge of the nose. I might not be good enough for your Canoness, but maybe for a few tech'd up infantry.

Re:Sister of Battle steampunk-style head

Hey guys and gals! Thanks a bundle for the suggestions!

I'd never thought about the forge world Escher heads. I have a few normal ones in my bitz bin for chaos cultists (punk esthetic fits slaaneshi cultists nicely for me) which did not fit, but I am definitly feeling the vibe of the cigar chomper in the forge world head set. Thanks for that suggestion!
I have a mini from Hero Forge that I'm really happy with for my DnD character, but there really still is a clear difference in quality and crispness between molded plastic mini's and those, which are not great for just a face. To me, at least, on a display/home model. Which she will be, since she'll be hell to transport. ^^
Max, your last suggestion for Guild Ball is a winner. Skatha looks nigh to perfect (though only sold in an eighty dollar box unfortunatly). And, from the same makers comes Harriet, who, minus the hat, is also as close to perfection as I'm going to get (cut of the hat, greenstuff the top of the hair and add goggles). Getting either is going to be a challenge, but well worth it, thanks!
https://store.steamforged.com/collections/guild-ball/products/the-engineers-guild-veteran-harriet
