Post-GR, I dunno. Maybe they decided to retcon it and black holes are now concentrating the warp, or maybe the black areas in the newer maps ain't actually referring to the Warp but are simply unexplored blank spots.

Or maybe the writers got black hole and warp rift mixed up.
