The issue I have is there is no wargear included in the kit and therefore I'm looking to improvise or find an alternate supplier of decent stand-ins. Having done a cursory internet search, I found a possible stand-in for Hellstrike missiles but not the others, I was just wondering if anybody had suggestions for any of the aerial wargear and their mounts.

Not the end of the world at all if there isn't. (Aircraft scaling for models changes when they get larger than 1:48. Where ground vehicles will use 1:35, aircraft use 1:32, then it goes to 1:24, 1:16).
Missiles, bombs, recon/gun pods are all covered and usually in separate sets (missiles in one, EW pods in another, bombs sometimes in a third).
