I know the current Codex has a few things. However, do we have anything specific for them? I managed to grab a few units and would like to run them.

Steel Legion is one of the regiments you can choose. Yes, those 2 can be mounted on a 60mm; they were made when the rules had the models on 25mm, and the HW on another 40mm. There are official steel legion mini and 3rd party steel legion like models from madrobot miniatures.

It's not until I went to pick up a photo that I realised the GW official webstore photo for the Steel legion Squad still shows them as separate models on 25mm bases.

The missile launcher team should be on a 60mm base as per the photos of the plastic Cadian sets.

My older teams are still on 25mm bases but for games I place them and the weapon onto a 60mm mdf base. Is that something that's stipulated in the Codex...? I thought the official stance was to use what the model is provided with. Well they are declared a heavy weapon team of two. And if GW puts 40 mm square bases in the box by mistake (I had this happen once) you will argue the squad should be mounted on them, no exceptions?

Models should be on what modern equivalent is, and if anything, 'that guys' are the people offering lame/weak excuses why their army is mounted on tiniest bases possible, totally not done that for advantage, honest guv (even though you know these models were bought last week and last time GW sold them with tiny bases was two decades ago). All HWTs sold in last 15 years got 60 mm bases, so that's what you use, if only as a courtesy to opponent so they can clearly identify your units. HW team is one big guy with 2 wounds, standing on a 60mm base, wielding his Heavy Weapon in one hand and a Lasgun in another. So even if he's 1 wound down, you can still fire all his weapons and move his 60mm base around. If he loses his second wound, he counts as one lost model in regards to the morale phase.
