I'll start it off with this current question that spurred me to make this: what was a Psi-cannon and what would it be today? I have the first and second Ordo Malleus Inquisitors on this page and am not sure what to put them down as in BattleScribe. BattleScribe doesn't have an option for Psi-cannon on the Inquisitor model listing unfortunately. I also don't know what the combi-weapon the second one is holding is. It has a grip like pattern on the underside with a slightly rounded tip like a modern Plasma gun, but the model is far too old for that style. Psi-cannons still exist, I'm not sure if an Inquisitor can have one but it's possible. Otherwise I'd just count it as a combi-weapon of some sort.

That second one miiight be a combi-melta. Tough to say.

But really, nobody should give you any grief over fielding those models as any sort of counts-as. Good luck!

Yeah, I'm a bit of a collector so I have a small amount of the older models. Interesting to know that Psi-cannon still exist even though it's not listed as a ranged weapon Inquisitors can select in BattleScribe. Perhaps it's a Grey Knights exclusive weapon now? Or BattleScribe could just be missing it right now. They did seem to be missing the entire Troops section for Drukari when I tried to make that list. xD I also recently got my hands on a Gideon Lorr model, but they don't seem to have him in there either, though I don't know if specific rules for him actually exist like they do for Coteaz, Eisenhorn, etc. On the Combi-weapon I thought it might be a Melta at first as well, but the attachment on the side appears to be a scope rather than a Melta pack and the muzzle isn't rounded like one would expect on a Melta. It might be a fuel tank for a flamer though as it doesn't really have any detail on it at all except the metal strap that holds it in place. The psycannon (as it's now spelled) is to my knowledge now Grey Knights only, seeing as Inquisitors don't really have proper rules support outside of White Dwarf Indexes that don't really do them any favours.
The newer version also looks wildly different - the closest thing to that appearance now would be either a needler or a laspistol, both of which again I don't think Inquisitors can take (happy to be corrected on any of that as I don't actually have that Index myself).
Most likely, looks like you'll need to be using it as a counts-as of some kind.

I can't really get a proper look at that combi-weapon, I could only find one other shot of that model and it's from the same angle, so not showing anything extra. There really isn't a whole lot of detail to the Psi-cannon so it does look a bit like a Las pistol. I can try to get different angles on them if you want, but there's a limit to how close I can get before it's just a blurry mess.

Maybe he was supposed to be in that one type of original terminator armor (now called Saturnine) but the sculptor didn't make it clear when submitting the sculpt? I mean, his shoulder pads are big enough.

Honestly, the more I look at him the more I think that may be the case. Those oversized shoulder pads just ring of the Saturnine armor. Since he has the shoulder pads and the psycannon, I might try to run him as an Inquisitor psyker in terminator armor in friendly games.

Actually, about the name psi-cannon vs psycannon, a quick look for the Inquisitor terminators revealed that even in the same printing they also referred to the weapon with the alternate spelling.

Oh, that's easy. It's a Combi-weapon. A bolter + ???. Where ??? = your choice currently of plasma/melta/flamer.
It was left intentionally vague. Thus not even GW could tell you what the combi part was supposed to be model-wise. A modern day player? if they bitch? Show them the Solegends scan.... Hey, GW said he's armed with a Combi-weapon....."

No, that is just normal power armor. Old terminator/psycannon inquisitor looked like this:



As others say, I'd just run it as a normal inquisitor with (some sort of exotic) pistol? Not a huge amount once you get past the RT era (but some). Yeah, those are the two labelled as being in term armor. That's apparently now known as Indomitus pattern.
