Help identifying basing material used

I’m guessing a mix of sand and small rocks. Probably a custom blend. Woodland Scenics has a large range of stuff often used in model railroading.

Just some thoughts, hopefully someone knows more.

I second Nevelon. I like to go out front and scoop the teeny gravel from where my roof drains deposit the rain...and that mix looks exactly like what I get. Sand and very small rocks somewhat rounded.
Best I can say.

Re:Help identifying basing material used

It looks like two different types have been used on the bases. I'll use the first photo as an example;
On the left side it consists of multi coloured chips with sand mixed in, on the right it is mainly chips(possibly grey with some reddish ones thrown in.)
If you search for scenic scatter or sand in the wargames section on Ebay you'll find them there, sold by numerous sellers. Also search in the model railway section as they tend to sell materials that should be in the wargames section but weirdly they aren't!

The tuft grass bits however, are probably army painter scenics, though IIRC other model railway oriented companies also make some.
