Pathfinder Colorscheme help?

I just finished my test mode for my pathfinders, I’m a big fan of the color for the armor and the metallic green panels, but the olive green cloth doesn’t seem to fit well. Any suggestions for a new cloth color? Also if you guys have any general c&c, please let me know!

https://m.imgur.com/Aojg4nx

https://m.imgur.com/B8MaGHB

Re:Pathfinder Colorscheme help?

They look pretty good, everything looks really neat and clean, and the lenses look great.
I think the problem is the lack of contrast. Pretty much every colour on the model is some shade of green, and the grey base isn't that far from green either. When deciding on most of my colour schemes, I try and focus on two or three contrasting colours. If you're unfamiliar with the concept of contrast, a quick google search will yield plenty of results. You can either pick colours from opposite ends of a colour wheel, or you might prefer thinking of it as warm (reds, oranges, most yellows and browns) and cold colours (blues, purples, most greens), and try and make sure you have a mix of the two.

A dark brown would probably be my first suggestion for a better cloth colour. Keep the highlights dark as well, to draw attention away from the cloth and to the armour panels (which should be the focus of the model).
If I was using GW paints, I would probably suggest dryad bark shaded with nuln oil, but you could use whatever you have on hand.

If I could suggest another change, maybe switch the lens colour to an orange? It would stand out a little better.

Keep up the great work, the rest of the model looks really good!

Looking forward to it! And the most important rule for painting is that you like the look of it, and that you actually enjoy painting it (to some degree)
