Turbo Dork tips?

So my lokal store got in some Turbo Dork paints. I would love to try them out. My current project is washing off and cleaning my Space Wolves. Are there ant good uses for Turbo Dork with space wolves? Either the metalic colours or the colour shift ones?

The way I see it Turbo Dork is great for dark eldar, harlequins or alpha legion etc.

Inspiration would be appreciated.

Power weapon blades, or plasma coils and barrels would both probably work well.

Not showing the color shift to best advantage, but the blade on the left one should kinda give the idea.

Yeah. After a lot of reserach I think maiby I can do the following in colour shift metals:

- Gold trim. SW has a lot of this.
- Gun metal on bolters and chainsword.
- Red metal on Bjorn the felhand in that 90's colourscheme. (Hand and gun.)
- Power weapons/fist/frist claws for SW in either blue or red.

I am afraid if they are a bit 'too slick' but we will see. :-)

For those of you who do not know what I am talking about, this is a good way of how things can look.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMg3o_yUKNY&t=413s

Turbo Dork tips?

So I've tried turbo dork paints and here's my take.

They don't thin particularly well with water in my experience, instead they have a nasty reaction and gum up. I've only been able to thin them properly using Mediums which isn't particularly fantastic. Their colors are a bit stronger in outcome than GSW color shifts though so I'll give them that. I just can't get a good consistency for miniatures in the marine size. I imagine a bigger model would look great with them but I am disinclined to try.

Having tried color shift paints on smaller models in other brands like GSW and Vallejo, I can say that doing the major parts can be fun IF the paints work. Inks are a big part of that for me. Mixing a color shift with an ink can overwhelm the shift but it also makes a cool effect.

All in all, I'd say Vallejo and GSW have better paints just by the ability to thin but still a fun experiment and worth a few bucks to paint something in. Might get a model car or something for it someday if I'm feeling saucy.
