It only needs about 20-30 minutes for most of them.
It will gummify your Finecast, and some Forgeworld.
Forgeworld resins will return to normal, Finecast will remain sticky for several days.

It’s a bit difficult to clean of but soapy water and a bit scrubbing and it’s no problem really. And it smells nice. GSW paint remover works great but I hate the smell.
