Was Sanguinius' fear over the Emperor finding out about Red Thirst founded in realism?

As in if the Emperor finds out about Red Thirst, is Sanguinius soon finding out that a furry brother of his is out for his blood with his legion of furries? Or would the Emperor have a more wait-and-see attitude?

Was Sanguinius' fear over the Emperor finding out about Red Thirst founded in realism?

From "Master of Mankind" the Emperor didn't seem to care too much how off-track the primarchs got as long as he could see them contributing to the construction of, or defense of, the Imperium.

And a lot of how the Primarchs regarded the Emperor as their "father" and sought his approval was grounded in an aspect of their nature that the Emperor seems to have intentionally given them without really wanting to support. I mean, he knew that he wanted them to be more emotionally needy, because it would allow them to connect with the Space Marines better, but he didn't really seem interested in providing them with the support that would be required. He clearly regarded them as just tools.

Short version: I think no. The Emperor was super-pragmatic about things and if he felt that the benefit to his long-term plans outweighed any short-term cost (in lives of innocent humans or even in terms of enabling Chaos), then it was fine with him.

Was Sanguinius' fear over the Emperor finding out about Red Thirst founded in realism?

In a novel Horus found out about the Red Thirst, he asked to Sanguinius why he didn't ask for Emperor's help and the primarch of the Blood Angels answered because he didn't want see his legion erased from the Imperial history, like it happened to the second and eleventh. So, in my humble opinion, if he had that fear, what happened to the two lost and purged legions hat to be related to their genetic flaws, maybe the Sanguinius' fears were excessive, but not totally unfounded.

Was Sanguinius' fear over the Emperor finding out about Red Thirst founded in realism?

The ultimate irony here is that the blood angels, despite the constant pressure of their curse, have remained loyal to the emperor for 10,000 years while others with far less pressure on them went to chaos.

Was Sanguinius' fear over the Emperor finding out about Red Thirst founded in realism?

If I'm not wrong they were deceived: one of them during a pilgrimage had a vision of Sanguinius, who told him how to cure the Black Rage, but later they found out that vision was actually a Tzeentch's demon and the cure was a pact: Tzeentch said them how to cure their curse, but if only a Blood Drinker would give to Chaos, all the chapter would have fell into Tzeentch's hands; or something like that.
