Issue with stripping finecast

I was stripping a finecast model using Dettol, and afterwards some of the thinner components were bendier than before. It's been about 6 months and this still hasn't improved. Any techniques to get the resin to harden in light of this?

Issue with stripping finecast

I don’t know about making the resin hard again but I would stop using dettol to strip resin minis. I think resin will be more of a risk than plastic for most stripping agents but dettol is particularly harsh IMO.

Bio strip 20 or green stuff world paint stripper work best for me. Both will still damage resin if left too long.

Agreed. I live in the US so I use a product called Super Clean. Comes in purple jug, made by Castrol. It's similar to Simple Green, just different color and a little more potent and even then it never takes more than 72-96 hours to strip even primer and it doesn't seem to have effected any resin models I strip.

Issue with stripping finecast

I strip all my models with isopropyl alcohol including finecast without any problems, should note I don't soak for long times, just wet it with the alcohol and keep it wet while brushing the paint off with a tooth brush.
