http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/56.page JForum - http://www.jforum.net I have a unit of 5 that I bought through a local Facebook group a few months ago, stripped the old paint, cleaned up and added sand to the base. They've sat under my hobby table since, as I had not idea what to do with them colour scheme wise.

After a couple of months painting grey space marines, I was in the mood to try something new and more colourful, and started slapping some Vallejo Violet Red onto the nearest non-space marine to hand.

I then decided to try something I haven't really attempted before; NMM. I started with a basecoat of Dark Reaper, which I then mixed with AP White Acrylic paint and black ink for highlighting and shading. I glazed Temple Guard Blue over the top and finished with an edge highlight of pure white. Also added glazes of Mournfang Brown and Skrag Brown to indicate light rust.

It took some tidying and more glazing before I was happy with the attempt. Definitely wouldn't paint an army like this, but I should manage 5! Haven't fully decided on the colour scheme yet, but it doesn't need to be exactly uniform.
