The Spacewolf codex was a supplement for 3rd and 4th edition when I started.


But yes that newest one is the rulebook you want to get. No, he is correct. Look at the title of the 9th edition space wolves book. Codex Supplement: Space Wolves

Look at the words in the lower left of the image of the 3rd edition Space Wolves codex: "Codex Space Marines Supplement"
