Alternate IG/Astra Militarum Centaur and Hippogryph

So two barely reskinned WWII tanks are coming for the Imperial Guard...

https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/olcxm67r/astra-militarum-rules-revealed-commissar-graves-and-new-vehicles/

And well I thought it was a good time to mention some alternative models already out if people want to try. They might be on the small side and will need bitz, but hey.

https://us.warlordgames.com/products/m3a1-half-track

Warlord Games $33.50

https://www.rubiconmodelsusa.com/collections/rubicon-1-56th-ww-ii-usa-vehicles/products/m3-m3a1-half-track

Rubicon $25

https://www.rubiconmodelsusa.com/collections/rubicon-1-56th-ww-ii-usa-vehicles/products/m8-greyhound-m20-scout-car

Rubicon $26

I do wonder if the somewhat less fantastical recent IG designs are GW leaning into the popularity of stuff like Bolt Action?

I mean, there’s always been a market for WW2 models, and indeed games for them. Well, I say always. Clearly not before the war, because that would be a temporal paradox.

But it seems Bolt Action, which I believe to be really well regarded, is the first Mass Market take that’s shown staying power, and so better harnessed the underlying popularity.

GW of course can’t compete in that realm. But they can create Bait for some cross pollination. Because even if it’s just folks buying a kit or two for painting and display? It’s all money in the till.
